LSU Dept. of Accounting to host Fraud and Forensic Accounting Conference

2017 Fraud and Forensic Accounting Conference

BATON ROUGE – Registration is open for the 2018 Fraud and Forensic Accounting Conference to be
held July 19-20, at the Crowne Plaza, 4728 Constitution Ave., Baton Rouge. This conference
is sponsored by the Department of Accounting in the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business.
The two-day event is designed for CPAs, certified fraud examiners, certified internal auditors, forensic accountants, governmental accountants, other accounting and auditing professionals, educators, financial executives and lawyers. Attendees may earn up to 16 hours of CPE credit (eight hours per day) or 13.3 hours of CLE credit (6.65 hours per day). Programming will run from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. each day.
Topics to be covered on Thursday, July 19 include white-collar crime; blockchain and distributed ledgers; procurement fraud; fraud in health care; cryptocurrency risks and accounting and claims’ aftermath following the BP oil spill.
On Friday, July 20, sessions will focus on discourse fraud analysis; becoming an expert
witness or consultant; PricewaterhouseCooper’s global economic crime and fraud survey;
using Excel/Tableau to catch fraud; cybercrime and forensic interviewing.
The registration fee is $165 per day ($330 for both days). To register, please visit
