Wesley Named 2018 ASPA Founders’ Fellow
January 22, 2018
BATON ROUGE – Nicole Wesley, a master of public administration student in the LSU Public Administration Institute, was selected as a 2018 American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) Founders’ Fellow.
The Founders’ Fellow program recognizes outstanding students and new professionals, within three years of graduation, in the fields of public service and public administration. Following a competitive review process, Founders’ Fellows present their scholarship during the ASPA Annual Conference, receive professional development and networking opportunities and are paired with an experienced scholar or practitioner in a yearlong mentorship.
“Nicole is an outstanding student; it’s terrific to see that her hard work led to this honor,” said Jared Llorens, director of the Public Administration Institute within the E. J. Ourso College of Business. “The Founders’ Fellows program is an excellent way to make professional contacts, participate in meaningful research and gain access to some of the best minds in the field of public administration. We are thrilled for Nicole and what this honor will mean for her future.”
Wesley is expected to complete her MPA in 2019. She holds an undergraduate degree
in neuroscience from Baylor University.
