MEDIA ADVISORY: Professional Sales Students to Compete for Scholarships

BATON ROUGE – LSU professional sales students will compete for scholarships in the E. J. Ourso College of Business Professional Sales Institute’s third annual Internal Sales Competition and Career Fair from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22. The event is open to the press.

Students will compete in business-to-business sales scenarios for the Jack W. Salisbury Scholarship Awards. The competition will be judged by representatives from Professional Sales Institute’s corporate partners — Aflac, MassMutual Louisiana, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, BXS Insurance, CMA Technology Solutions and Gartner.

Where: LSU Business Education Complex Rotunda (Directions)

When: Thursday, Feb. 22 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

About the Professional Sales Institute

The Professional Sales Institute (PSI) is a partnership between LSU and industry, dedicated to the discovery and dissemination of sales knowledge and to the development of professional sales leaders. PSI offers a professional sales concentration within the Bachelor of Science in marketing, which consists of three classes – professional sales, sales management, and a sales practicum. Another component of the PSI assists companies looking for interns and full-time professional sales employees.
