E. J. Ourso College Alumna Named Ascension Chamber of Commerce’s Individual of the Year

Amy Lambert, graduate of the LSU Flores MBA Program, was named 2017 Individual of the Year by the Ascension Parish Chamber of Commerce.

BATON ROUGE – The Ascension Chamber of Commerce named Amy Lambert as its 2017 Individual of the Year at the annual awards banquet on Feb. 7, 2018. Lambert, a senior executive assistant at Neighbors Federal Credit Union, is a 1997 graduate of LSU’s School of Education and a 2009 graduate of the LSU Flores MBA Program, part of the E. J. Ourso College of Business.
The award honors an Ascension Chamber of Commerce member who demonstrates exemplary support for and service to the chamber and serves as an example of excellence in business and professional activities.
Lambert started with Neighbors in January 2015. At Neighbors, she has orchestrated the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink campaign for the past two years with Neighbors leading the area in funds raised. Lambert is an active member of Fellowship Church where she serves on the Children’s Ministry Leadership Team. This year, she is assisting with the Baton Rouge Area Night Time Shine Prom sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.
During her time as an Ascension Parish resident she has served in the following roles
within the community:

2014-current, LAF Board member and current secretary
2014-current, Ascension Fund board member
2014-current, Golf Ascension committee member
