BATON ROUGE – Emergent Method, a Louisiana-based consulting firm specializing in strategic and organizational planning, strategic communications and project management, has been ranked 1,292 in Inc. Magazine's 37th Annual Inc. 5000, the most prestigious ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies in America. The firm is ranked first among Baton Rouge companies in the Inc. 5000 rankings and sixth among Louisiana companies.

Over the past three years, Emergent Method expanded from five employees to more than 50 across its divisions. During this time, the firm also launched Emergent Talent – a new division focused on providing strategic services for large-scale project staffing and relocated to a new office in downtown Baton Rouge. In addition, in 2017, the firm was named Company of the Year by the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, serving as a testament to the success of the firm and the impact its team has created in the community.

"It is truly an honor and humbling to be named to the Inc. 5000 list and recognized as not only one of the fastest-growing companies in Louisiana, but in the nation as well," said Nick Speyrer, Emergent Method founder and president. "We owe all our success to our clients who entrust us to do the work we do and our team that makes it all possible, and we look forward to building upon these efforts and growing our impact in the markets we serve even more in the coming years.”

Speyrer is a 2004 graduate of the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business and a member of the college’s Dean’s Advisory Council. He holds a BS in Finance. Emergent Method employs several E. J. Ourso College of Business alumni including Alyson Gaharan ’18, MBA; Molly Longo ’14, BS accounting; Katherine Nesser ’12, MBA; Jonathan Percle ’11, MBA and John Snow ’10, MBA. Garrett Miles, a Master of Public Administration student, is also employed by Emergent Method.

The firm was founded in 2012 with a client list that included several organizations in the Baton Rouge area. Since then, the firm’s client base has grown across Louisiana as well as markets such as Las Vegas, Texas, Mississippi, and North Carolina, while continuing to work with private, public, and nonprofit organizations based in Baton Rouge.

As an Inc. 5000 honoree, Emergent Method joins a prestigious group of companies such as Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, GoPro, Timberland, Patagonia, Oracle, Box and more. All Inc. 5000 honorees will be formally acknowledged and presented at the Inc. 5000 Gala in October.
