In March, Greckhamer visited Western University’s Ivey Business School in London,
Ontario. His presentation, “Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) Methodology for
Management Research,” was attended by faculty and PhD students. He was also asked
to serve as an external examiner during a PhD dissertation defense. Greckhamer rounded
out his visit with meetings and research discussions with faculty and PhD students.
Greckhamer recently returned from a visit to Adelaide, Australia. He was invited by
the University of South Australia and the Consortium for the Advancement of Research
Methods and Analysis (CARMA) as an expert on QCA research methodology. During the
visit, Greckhamer taught a two-day research methods seminar to faculty and PhD students
and held discussions on research topics. He also served as a panelist for “Ask the
Research Methods Experts,” a forum held by the University of South Australia’s School
of Management.
“I was honored to represent LSU at the Ivey Business School and the University of
South Australia,” said Greckhamer. “I also enjoyed meeting with and presenting my
work to communities of open-minded scholars. Visits like these further academic pursuits
through an open exchange of ideas and challenging discussions.”
