Department of Finance Welcomes Stuart as Executive-in-Residence

BATON ROUGE – Robert M. Stuart Jr., former national head of middle market corporate banking at Capital One, has joined the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business Department of Finance as an executive-in-residence.

“Interactions with the business community help make our program more successful,” said Rajesh Narayanan, chair of the LSU Department of Finance. “Rob’s expertise will benefit our faculty and students. We relish the opportunity to host an executive-in-residence as it also helps strengthen our relationship with the business community.” 
 
As executive-in-residence, Stuart will advise the department on opportunities to better prepare students for the business world and help facilitate greater interaction between the industry and the department in research, strategic analytics and executive education.
 
In his role at Capital One, Stuart led regional and national teams in middle market banking as well as teams in energy banking, government banking and asset management. He has served as chair of the board of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber and Woman’s Hospital. He has been a board member for many other organizations, including the Council for a Better Louisiana, Public Affairs Research Council, Blueprint Louisiana, the Tiger Athletic Foundation and The Committee of 100.
