September 18, 2017
BATON ROUGE – The LSU Division of Student Affairs recognized E. J. Ourso College of Business Dean Richard White Jr. with the 2017 Academic Partner Award, presented to faculty and staff who partner with the Division of Student Affairs to improve the student experience.
Motivated by a desire to boost student success, White leveraged partnerships with the LSU Olinde Career Center and LSU’s Center for Academic Success to form the new Office of Business Student Success (OBSS). This unit centralizes academic counseling, career coaching, diversity and inclusion programs, and international study opportunities. The OBSS office is conveniently located on the second floor of the Business Education Complex’s Rotunda.
“I am honored to receive this award,” said White. “OBSS speaks to the power of collaboration at LSU. We were fortunate to have the full support of partners in student affairs. We pulled together to give our students this fantastic resource.”
