PAISA Symposium Focuses on Disaster Recovery Process

BATON ROUGE – The Public Administration Institute Student Association will host a symposium on “The Disaster Recovery Management Process at the State, Local, and Federal Levels” on Monday, March 13, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in room 1125 of the E. J. Ourso College of Business Education Complex.

Speakers at the event include: 

  • Broderick Bagert – lead organizer of Together Baton Rouge
  • Rowdy Gaudet – assistant chief administrative officer in the Office of the East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President
  • Jimmy Guidry, MD – state health officer and director of Louisiana Department of Health
  • Paul Rainwater – senior consultant to Cornerstone Governmental Affairs, former Louisiana Commissioner of Administration and former executive director of the Louisiana Recovery Authority.

PAISA is a professional student organization for students in the public administration program. It provides professional and social activities for students to meet with professional public administrators and political leaders, as well as enhances student-faculty relations. PAISA also provides information regarding career opportunities in the field of public administration.
