BATON ROUGE – The LSU Professional Sales Institute has been accepted as an associate member in the University Sales Center Alliance, a consortium of sales centers that connects university faculty members with different backgrounds and areas of expertise to advance the sales profession through teaching, research and outreach.

LSU is the only school in Louisiana to hold membership in the USCA and one of only two Southeastern Conference schools – Texas A&M University is the other.

“On behalf of the faculty, staff and students of the LSU Professional Sales Institute, we are thrilled and excited to be honored and acknowledged for our dedication to hard work by the USCA,” said Greg Accardo, director of LSU PSI. “The USCA’s recognition of the LSU PSI is a testament to our focused mission of building the next generation of sales leaders and to the discovery and dissemination of sales knowledge.”

The announcement also appeared in The Advocate.

About the Professional Sales Institute
The Professional Sales Institute (PSI) is a partnership between LSU and industry, dedicated to the discovery and dissemination of sales knowledge, and to the development of professional sales leaders. From the curriculum perspective, we offer a professional sales concentration within the Bachelor of Science in Marketing, which consists of three classes – professional sales, sales management and a sales practicum. One component of the PSI assists companies looking for interns and full-time professional sales employees. In the future, we plan to provide opportunities for sponsors to participate in PSI events, such as sales competitions, job fairs, symposia and other activities. Finally, we believe the PSI will provide the opportunity and motivation for collaborative scholarly research. To learn more, visit our home page.
