BATON ROUGE – Daniel Wendt, Master of Science in Finance student, has been named one of seven 2016 Arthur N. Caple Foundation Scholars, which recognizes the nation’s most promising financial planning students.

The rest of the recipients were from the University of Georgia, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Utah Valley University and University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Each year, the ANC Foundation provides scholarship awards to juniors, seniors or graduate students who demonstrate academic excellence and understanding of the issues facing public sector retirement plans. This year’s scholars were honored during the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA) annual conference in Denver.

Scholarship awards are based on academic performance and written responses to essay questions. The recipients receive travel scholarships that include full registration, travel and lodging expenses to attend the NAGDCA annual conference.
