BATON ROUGE – The LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business’ Phi Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi was recently recognized as a Distinguished Chapter by the international honor organization.

In a letter to the organization, BAP President Merle Hopkins wrote:

“Recognition as a Distinguished Chapter is a significant accomplishment. Under the leadership of (Accounting Professors) Joseph Legoria and Jacquelyn Moffitt, the Phi Chapter has far exceeded the baseline requirements of Beta Alpha Psi and has excelled in the areas of academics, professionalism, and leadership. As Faculty Advisors for the chapter, Joseph Legoria and Jacquelyn Moffitt have provided an invaluable service to your academic institution.”

BAP’s primary objective is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. It is an honorary organization for financial information students and professionals.
