Llorens Elected to ASPA National Council

BATON ROUGE – LSU Public Administration Institute Director and Professor Jared Llorens was elected to the American Society for Public Administration, or ASPA, National Council and will serve as representative District III.
Llorens will be responsible for representing the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida,
Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
The National Council is ASPA’s governing body and made up officers, as well as three district representatives from the organization’s five regions. Each district representative serves a three-year term and serve as liaisons to ASPA chapters in their region and assigned sections.
Llorens earned his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, his Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and his PhD in Public Administration from the University of Georgia.
ASPA is the largest and most prominent professional association for public administration. It is dedicated to advancing the art, science, teaching and practice of public and non-profit administration. ASPA’s core values are accountability and performance, professionalism, ethics, and social equity.
