BATON ROUGE – In a repeat of last year’s U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Business Programs” rankings, the E. J. Ourso College ranked 50th among public institutions in the publication’s latest list.

The college’s continued standing among the top 50 public programs is a product of the commitment to excellence shown by the students, faculty and staff each day said Dean Richard D. White Jr.

“The students, faculty and staff all contribute to this ranking,” White said. “Our faculty does a great job in preparing our students to perform at the highest level, both inside and outside the classroom.”

Each year, U.S. News ranks undergraduate business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) based solely on surveys of business school deans and senior faculty. Participants were asked to rate the quality of business programs with which they’re familiar on a scale of 1 (marginal) to 5 (distinguished).

For the fourth year in a row, the E. J. Ourso College’s peer assessment was a 3.0.

Since its establishment in 1928, the E. J. Ourso College of Business has continuously improved and expanded its offerings for students and alumni. Additionally, the college has made it a priority to provide its faculty with the resources it needs to further research in every aspect of the business world and to produce industry leaders for a global work environment.
