BATON ROUGE – The Beta Xi chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon triumphed over 60 PSE chapters recently with four PSE National Convention awards.

Beta Xi secured its position at the top by winning the William H. Harris Top Silver Chapter Award after a week of competing against other chapters. Additionally, Beta Xi finished first in Top Marketing Research Project, second in Top Marketing Project and second in Top Management Team.

"I could not be more proud of the Beta Xi members who worked tirelessly over the past year to bring us to success. Coming home with four awards feels great but seeing our chapter work together towards a common goal feels even better," said Alexander Tardo, Beta Xi president.

The chapter also cheered its alum, Lee Melancon, as he received Honorary Life Membership to PSE. Only 30 people possess this award. Members of PSE participate in planning, organizing, leading and implementing a variety of projects, ranging from simple fundraising to complex marketing. They also partake in professional development programs, sessions and activities that help prepare them for their future careers. Members gain a business advantage for life as they grow professionally and learn from experience.
