Online Flores MBA Program Ranked No. 50 for Veterans
May 19, 2015
BATON ROUGE – U.S. News & World Report released today its rankings of the 2015 Best Online Programs for Veterans. New to the rankings, which are now in their third year, is the best online MBA program for veterans list.
The LSU Online Flores MBA Program, only two years old, was ranked No. 50 among public
schools on that list.
“Through our online MBA program, we pride ourselves on delivering a flexible format to our students,” said Dana Hart, director of the Flores MBA Program. “This is appealing to our students who serve on active duty military assignments, as well as to our veteran community. We continually attract veterans to our on-campus programs and we’re thrilled to extend that further to our online track.
“This ranking is indeed a testament to the growing appeal of our online MBA program for active military personnel and veterans throughout the United States and abroad.”
The rankings identify 737 programs that provide veterans with high-quality, flexible online education options across eight categories. To qualify, an online degree program had to report participation in two key programs that offer educational benefits to people with military service – being part of an institution certified for the G.I. Bill and a participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program. Charging in-state tuition to out-of-state veterans also qualifies the program.
In addition, programs had to be among the top 75 percent of schools in the overall 2015 Best Online Programs rankings released earlier in the year by U.S. News & World Report.
The mission of the LSU Flores MBA Program is to remain competitive in the national and regional markets, while fostering learning, leadership and networking in a global business environment. Full-time, professional, executive and online tracks are offered and provide schedule flexibility for those wishing to pursue their MBA from a nationally recognized program.
