Eren Named Editor of Journal of Labor Research
May 27, 2015
BATON ROUGE – LSU Assistant Professor of Economics Ozkan Eren, currently associate editor of the Journal of Labor Research, has been named editor of the publication.
He takes over the role from LSU Department of Economics Chair Robert Newman, who will
remain on the publication’s editorial board.
The Journal of Labor Research provides an outlet for original research on all aspects of behavior affecting labor market outcomes. It is a forum for both empirical and theoretical research on the U.S. and international labor markets and labor/employment issues. The Journal welcomes submissions from scholars in all relevant fields on topics that involve analysis of the workplace. Issues relating to labor markets and employment relations – including labor demand and supply, personnel economics, unions and collective bargaining, employee participation, dispute resolution, labor market policies, types of employment relationships and the interplay between labor market variables and various economic outcomes – are published by the Journal. Book reviews relating to these topics are also published.
The Department of Economics at LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business offers courses
that provide its undergraduate and graduate students an intellectual challenge and
strong analytic training and the tools to understand the economic and social problems
faced both domestically and internationally. The faculty’s dedication to quality teaching
and research is reflected by numerous awards received and peer-reviewed scholarly
articles published in high-quality economic journals. The Journal of Labor Research
is edited within the department. For more information, visit our home page or call 225-578-5211.
