BATON ROUGE – Both the Master of Science in Finance and Master of Public Administration programs at the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business were ranked in the Top 40 in North America by Eduniversal in its annual Best Masters rankings for 2014-15.

The Master of Public Administration program was ranked No. 22 in North America, the same spot it held in last year’s rankings; and the Master of Science in Finance track finished at No. 39, one notch lower than the previous year.

This is the fourth annual edition of these rankings, which rate 4,000 masters programs for 30 majors across the world.

“LSU has an excellent program in public administration and public policy,” said James Richardson, director of the LSU Public Administration Institute. “The Eduniversal rankings indicate the international respect for our program. We appreciate the recognition by the Eduniversal rankings and we will continue to work hard to improve even more.”

Eduniversal’s rankings are based on three criteria:

  • The reputation of the program.
  • The career prospects and the salary level of the first employment after graduation.
  • The satisfaction feedback of the students.
