August 25, 2015
BATON ROUGE – In a recent study by U.S. News & World Report on business schools with the largest full-time female MBA enrollment, the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business’ Flores MBA Program ranked ninth in the nation, with 52.9 percent of its students being female in the 2014-2015 academic year.
The E. J. Ourso College of Business was one of only three schools in the top 10 that
were also ranked in U.S. News & World Report’s best business school rankings earlier
The list was topped by the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and followed by Duquesne University, Truman State University, Howard University, Claremont Graduate University, the University of Tulsa, San Diego State University, LSU and the University of California-Riverside, respectively.
“As we continue to attract amazing students from all over the world, we’re always thrilled to see how student diversity in thought and perspective enhance the learning environment in our program,” said Flores MBA Program Director Dana Hart. “While in other programs men often dominate the student population, women MBAs can thrive at LSU. Beyond what our program has to offer, in terms of coursework and professional development, our National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA) chapter at LSU is excellent at creating networking and mentoring opportunities for our students. Women have a clear voice here, and the opportunities to excel in leadership and in career development is what we continually promote.”
To obtain its numbers, U.S. News & World Report analyzed the enrollment data of nearly 300 business schools in an annual survey.
The mission of the LSU Flores MBA Program is to remain competitive in the national and regional markets, while fostering learning, leadership and networking in a global business environment. Full-time, professional, executive and online tracks are offered and provide schedule flexibility for those wishing to pursue their MBA from a nationally recognized program.
