Don Chance, James C. Flores Endowed Chair of MBA Studies and professor of finance at the E. J. Ourso College of Business, is a well-published author of peer-reviewed research articles and textbooks. But it was his third cancer diagnosis that led him into the world of fiction writing.
The LSU Executive MBA class within the Flores MBA program at the E. J. Ourso College of Business is wrapping up the 17-month educational experience with a capstone trip framed around the geopolitical dynamics of Brexit, giving the students an excellent opportunity to connect and engage business leaders and politicians in London and Dublin to discuss the Brexit framework and the challenges and consequences of leaving the European Union.
BATON ROUGE - Rajesh P. Narayanan has been selected as the new associate dean for academic affairs and outreach in the Office of the Dean at the E. J. Ourso College of Business. Timothy Chandler, who previously held the position, has been named associate dean for undergraduate programs and assessment. Narayanan is also the chair of the E. J. Ourso College of Business’s Department of Finance and he will continue that role for the next year.
BATON ROUGE – Eduniversal released its 2019 Best Masters Rankings in July 2019 with both the Flores MBA program and the Masters of Public Administration (MPA) program making an appearance. Eduniversal ranked the Flores MBA program 50th overall, 28th and 20th among public universities in North America and the United States, respectively. This appearance is the first time the Flores MBA program has made the rankings since 2012. The MPA program moved up 14 spots by placing 15th among public universities in the United States.
The LSU Flores Alumni Association will host all LSU MBA alumni and incoming and current MBA students to Jazz and Cocktails Aug. 22, 2019, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. to network while enjoying music and refreshments. Jazz and Cocktails conclude the MBA orientation, serving as an excellent opportunity to get to know classmates and alumni.

BATON ROUGE - For the second-straight year, MBA student and LSU long snapper Blake Ferguson will serve as the chair of the Southeastern Conference Football Leadership Council, the league office announced Thursday.

The LSU Flores MBA Association will host its fourth annual charity gala benefiting the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2019, at the Capitol Park Museum, 660 N. Fourth St. in Baton Rouge. Last year, the gala raised more than $18,000 for the new freestanding Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.

BATON ROUGE – A number of LSU programs are recognized in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 Best Graduate Schools rankings, including the Flores MBA, public administration, education and social work programs, which all moved up in the rankings this year.
CLEVELAND, OHIO – For the second year in a row, a team of LSU Flores MBA students placed fifth out of 32 teams in the 15th Annual 2019 KeyBank Foundation Minority MBA Case Competition at KeyBank headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio.

The firm is ranked first among Baton Rouge companies in the Inc. 5000 rankings and sixth among Louisiana companies.
BATON ROUGE – LSU won first place in the 2018 SEC MBA Case Competition held at the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business, April 12-14. The winning team was comprised of Jack Anjier of New Orleans, La.; Daniel Hofmann of Furth, Germany; Michael Lacombe of Gonzales, La. and Roman Lantukh of Ivanivka, Ukraine. Luke Cashen, an instructor in the LSU Flores MBA Program, was the team’s advisor. This is the first SEC MBA Case Competition Championship for the university.

BATON ROUGE – The Ascension Chamber of Commerce named Amy Lambert as its 2017 Individual of the Year at the annual awards banquet on Feb. 7, 2018. Lambert, a senior executive assistant at Neighbors Federal Credit Union, is a 1997 graduate of LSU’s School of Education and a 2009 graduate of the LSU Flores MBA Program, part of the E. J. Ourso College of Business.
