Management Student Organizations
The Rucks Department of Management offers two major-specific student organizations to both undergraduate and graduate students. In addition, the department also encourages students to get involved with organizations associated with different majors and the college as a whole.
The Society for Human Resource Management at LSU (SHRM) provides access to major Human Resource publications, as well as the opportunity to interact with practicing managers. We also hear from guest speakers who are both knowledgeable and experienced, hold field trips, and assist with career planning and placement.
Sigma Iota Epsilon aims to encourage and recognize scholastic experience and promote cooperation between th academic and practical aspects of management. Its goals are to stimulate interest and achievement in the field of management, facilitate contacts between students and practicing managers, recognize people making contributions to the field, and to gain recognition for the value of scholastic achievement in the managerial discipline.
The E. J. Ourso College of Business offers numerous student organizations available to students. These organizations are a great way to connect with students across majors and get involved with the business college itself.
