Academic Excellence Award Winners
The Rucks Department of Management presents three awards for academic excellence to students with the highest GPA in the department's human resource, strategic management, and international management concentrations.
Arthur Bedeian Award
This award is presented annually to a management graduate student in the name of Arthur G. Bedeian, an LSU Boyd Professor, administrator, and management faculty member who retired from LSU after 30 years of professional affiliation and service.
The recipient of this award must be a PhD student in the Rucks Department of Management doctoral program and in good academic standing. She/he must have demonstrated scholarly contribution to the management discipline by publishing in a peer-reviewed academic journal or through award-winning research presented at an academic professional organization.
James Reddoch Award
This award is presented annually to a management graduate student in the name of James
Reddoch, an LSU graduate, administrator, and management professor who retired from
the university after more than 40 years of professional affiliation and service.
The recipient of this award must be in good academic standing, have excellent teaching evaluation as a management instructor, and otherwise demonstrate the pursuit of academic excellence.
