BATON ROUGE - The LSU Real Estate Research Institute (RERI) received a check for $10,000 from the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors Commercial & Investment Division. The funds will support LSU's ongoing programs for students and faculty who volunteer annually at TRENDS in the Baton Rouge Real Estate conference every year.

The Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors Commercial & Investment Division is the oldest local commercial real estate organization in Louisiana. The CID exists to unite those involved in commercial and investment real estate business to foster knowledge, education, integrity, and professionalism. Recognition of LSU's Real Estate Research Institute from this organization allows for students and faculty to continue their efforts in engaging in and learning about the commercial real estate industry within Louisiana.

The Baton Rouge TRENDS is a gathering of nearly 1000 professionals, including financial institutions, investors, property managers, developers, and others associated with the residential and commercial real estate industry, to examine and discuss the state of the sector in the Louisiana area and focus on emerging trends.

"The RERI and the E. J. Ourso College of Business are pleased to support TRENDS and we appreciate the support from industry," says Brian Andrews, assistant director of RERI. "Our students benefit so much from interaction with industry professionals and the TRENDS conference is a perfect opportunity for them to do so."

This year's TRENDS presentation is scheduled for August 20, 2020, at L'Auberge Casino & Hotel in Baton Rouge.
