Accounting Alum named to FASB Public Panel

Nancy Cannon Reed, CPA and 1990 LSU accounting alumna was recently invited by the Financial Accounting Standard Board (FASB) in Norwalk, CT to serve as a formal participant and speaker at the public roundtable meeting on the Invitation to Comment, Identifiable Intangible Assets and Subsequent Accounting for Goodwill, to be held Friday, Nov. 15, 2019.

Nancy lives in the Dallas, Texas area and is an Assistant Controller for U.S. Concrete, Inc.  Before joining U.S. Concrete, she worked for over 25 years with a Fortune 500 Company, leading accounting and reporting teams in creating high quality internal and external documents, including periodic filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and capital raising documents. Nancy has a background that includes Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, controllership and internal auditing, with a career encompassing directing, mentoring and supervising accounting professionals.

Financial Accounting Standards Board establishes the accounting standards for financial reporting in the United States, and roundtables such as this give stakeholders a voice in the standard-setting process.
