Become an Ag Fellow

The LSU College of Agriculture is excited to host promising minority leaders from across the nation for the Ag Fellows event! The Ag Fellows program is one of our premier initiatives to recognize and recruit the top underserved scholars in this country. It is our goal as a land-grant university to educate the most diverse student body to address the complex global challenges we face today.

The LSU College of Agriculture has pledged $10,000 worth of scholarships to be awarded during the event. Ten students in attendance will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be put toward their education expenses. 

Program highlights for Ag Fellows 2020, hear from the LSU College of Agriculture Deans about available scholarships, students will have the opportunity to visit with faculty within their future major and interact with current LSU students, there will be a parent or guardian information session, LSU Admissions representatives will also be in attendance at the event, and finish with a tour of LSU's beautiful campus.

Historically underserved populations include, but are not limited to, Asian American students, Black or African American or African heritage students, Native American students, Native Alaskan students, Native Hawaiian students, Pacific Islander students, First-Generation students, Latin American & Hispanic students, LGBTQ+ students, Multi-Racial students.

Students who identify as an underserved population are encouraged to apply to be an Ag Fellow! Applications will be accepted through Monday, November 9th at 4:30 p.m.

The event will be held in in-person at LSU's Main Campus on Thursday, November 19.
