Agricultural and Extension Education

 

Teaching in Formal Education


This broad based curriculum encompasses all areas of agriculture and prepares students for formal education in a classroom setting as well as informal instruction among a general population. Unique opportunities for professional and leadership development coupled with hands-on learning across the state will prepare you to communicate your passion for agriculture throughout the country.


Career Possibilities: teacher (grades 6-12), extension service work, agricultural education for business, industry or government, 4-H and youth development education, agriculture communication,  economic and community development, organizational training, policy development, graduate or professional school.
