Agricultural Leadership and Development

This broad-based curriculum provides the choice of completing coursework in all areas of technical agriculture as well as leadership, communications, and informal instruction. Unique opportunities for professional and leadership development, coupled with hands-on learning, will prepare you to communicate your passion for agriculture throughout the country. 

Career Possibilities: extension service work, developing educational programs for business, industry or government, 4-H and youth development education, agriculture communications, economic and community development work, organizational training, policy development, graduate or professional school.

 1 – For Gen. Ed. Natural Sciences, both physical and life sciences must be taken; 6 hours in a physical/life sciences sequence; 3 hours in an area (physical/life) not previously selected. 

2 – Select one from MATH 1022, MATH 1100, MATH 1431, or MATH 1550 

3 – An option in Youth and Extension is available. Students must complete AEEE 2002, AEEE 4010, AEEE 4101, and AEEE 4102 plus 12 hours of approved electives. Students not pursuing the option should take 24 hours of approved agriculture electives.
