Welcoming New Faculty--Jerrod Penn
The Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness Department would like to welcome Dr. Jerrod Penn. Jerrod is an applied economist focused on the intersection of resource/environmental impacts and policy with consumer behavior, frequently using non-market valuation techniques. His inter-disciplinary collaborations include work with entomology, biology, forestry/wildlife, and hospitality/tourism. His work has received attention in popular press, including The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times. He also enjoys collaborative research/teaching efforts that have led to several teaching awards, undergraduate-authored research publications, and coaching two AAEA national quiz bowl champion teams in 2016 and 2017.
Jerrod is originally from St. Cloud, FL. Prior to earning his PhD in Agricultural Economics at the University of Kentucky, he was an undergraduate at the University of Florida.
