Services for Graduate Teaching Assistants
Any Graduate Teaching Assistant who would like to discuss a learning and teaching related issue can schedule a consultation with an LTC member.
To schedule a consultation, contact Bill Wischusen.
A classroom observation is a great way to get feedback on your class from a student perspective. An LTC member will sit in on your class and then meet with you to discuss their observations. They will provide their perspective of your class, review the students' reactions to the material that you presented, identify your strengths, and suggest ideas for ways to enhance the classroom experience in the future. All classroom observations are confidential.
Any Graduate Teaching Assistant who would like to have a classroom observation can schedule an observation by contacting Bill Wischusen.
The Teaching Practices Inventory (TPI) is a survey that assesses your usage of the types of materials and activities that are known to promote student learning and engagement. If you would like to gauge the extent to which you implement these practices in your courses, complete the TPI survey (link below). At the end of the survey you will be given a total score as well as an individual score for each of the survey categories.
You can schedule a consultation with an LTC Faculty Fellow to review the results of your TPI survey.

Are you interested in discussing learning and teaching with other faculty and instructors? You can join an FLC (see list below) or perhaps even consider starting a new FLC.
