Strategic Plan Further Redefined at Leadership Retreat
After completing the research phase of the strategic planning process, President Alexander and members of the university leadership team participated in a strategic planning leadership retreat on Wednesday, September 14. The group discussed the research findings and met in groups to share their input on the six transformative words that were determined to reflect the value system of LSU. In addition, five thematic priorities vital to both the university and the state of Louisiana were confirmed and discussed at length, further shaping the strategic plan’s focus. As the plan begins to move closer to a working document, several faculty, staff and student volunteers convened at a strategic planning summit to provide additional input. Later, a campus dialogue will take place to allow more feedback from those interested in lending a voice to this important document.
