New Intersession Compensation Schedule Approved: Taking effect Winter 2016-17 Intersession, instructors of record teaching intersession courses will have a new compensation schedule. The approved schedule is as follows:
· 7-9 students, compensation package of $1,750
· 10-30 students, compensation package of $3,500
· 31-55 students, compensation package of $4,500
· 56+ students, compensation package of $5,500
Board of Regents Approves Two New Degree Programs and Leadership Center: The Louisiana Board of Regents recently approved two new degree programs for the Baton Rouge campus. The College of Art and Design received approval to offer a new doctorate of design degree program and undergraduate students may now enroll in the College of Human Sciences and Education’s (HSE) new social work baccalaureate program. The Board of Regents also approved HSE’s Leadership Development Institute (LDI). LDI serves as an umbrella organization that promotes interdisciplinary research and collaboration on leadership development issues. Through innovative discovery, curricula, programs and strategic partnerships with industry, it provides a science-based focus on developing sustainable and effective leaders for Louisiana and the nation.
LSU Office of Academic Affairs Website Expands To Include Additional Resources for
Faculty and Staff: The Office of Academic Affairs will soon expand its website resources to include
tutorials on how to establish the following programs:
· new undergraduate or graduate programs and graduate certificates
· research centers, institutes and centers of excellence
· dual degrees and transfer articulation agreements.
Flowcharts depicting proper routing procedures and a list of best practices will be included as well so that staff, faculty and administration have clear direction on these procedures.
