Take Note in November

Faculty Development Mentoring Workshop

The Office of Academic Affairs and the LSU Learning and Teaching Collaborative will host a workshop focusing on Mentoring, from the perspective of the mentor/mentee and your long-term success as a member of the LSU faculty as outlined by PS-36/PS36NT.  If your department of college has provided you with a mentor(s) please invite them to attend as well.

Since the expectations of the faculty vary largely depending on whether they are tenure track or non-tenure-track we have broken this workshop into two sessions (see below) so that we can focus on the issues that are most pertinent to your faculty role.

Tenure Track: Tuesday November 8, 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m

Non-tenure Track: Wednesday November 9, 11:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.

If you would like to attend, please respond to academicaffairs@lsu.edu. If you have any questions, please contact Jordina Buhay at 225-578-2752 or jbuhay1@lsu.edu.

Admin Faculty 360 Workshop

An administrative brown bag will be hosted by Academic Affairs Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 11:30 a.m.— 1 p.m. in 135 Thomas Boyd Hall. The topic of discussion will be Faculty 360, LSU’s new online software solution for curriculum vitae management. While HRM representatives are currently meeting with faculty from each college to support faculty, this meeting will focus on how Faculty 360 will serve as a helpful resource for department chairs. All faculty who hold administrative positions, such as directors, department heads, or associate deans, are welcome to attend. RSVP to academicaffairs@lsu.edu.
