University Approves Graduate Student Stipend Increases

President Alexander recently approved the University Budget Committee’s recommendation to provide a minimum three percent stipend increase for current graduate assistant positions effectively immediately.   There is also an additional 1.4 percent funding pool available to colleges to help offset disparate cases. The recommendation came after the Office of Budget and Planning conducted a graduate assistant stipend analysis by college and department.

Growing graduate school enrollment and enhancing the graduate student experience is a top priority for the Office of Academic Affairs.  According to the executive vice president and provost, Rick Koubek, the Office of Academic Affairs, in consultation with the Graduate School dean, has made several changes within the graduate school, including changing the reporting structure and moving the graduate school application processing function under the Office of Enrollment Management.
