Online Bachelor of Science Offered in Construction Management

The Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management will be launching a 100% online Bachelor of Science in Construction Management (BSCM) degree in Fall 2019. The online BSCM is designed to meet the needs of working professionals as well as recent high school graduates who desire the convenience and flexibility of online learning. The online BSCM’s curriculum blends construction, engineering, architecture, design, technology, and business to produce global leaders in the construction industry skilled at managing local, national, and international construction projects. Accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), the online BSCM will offer specializations in areas such as residential, commercial, heavy highway, and industrial construction, facilities management, entrepreneurship, sustainability, project management, and construction engineering. In addition, micro-credential certificates will be available in these specialized areas to encourage learners to earn mini-degrees while working towards their online BSCM degree.

The Construction Management Department also offers an online Master of Science in Construction Management (MSCM) degree that is nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Reports as one of the Best Online Engineering Programs & Best Online Military Friendly Programs. The online Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Construction Management (PBC) has also received national recognition from academic leaders and industry professionals. CM Department Chair, Dr. Charles Berryman, stated that “we’re pleased with how well our online degrees have done over the past 5 years. There was a need for quality, online education in the construction industry. CM has been able to reach non-traditional learners by partnering with LSU Online to offer online degrees.
