How to Join the ECP
You’ll find our program on Tiger Link by searching the LSU Engaged Citizens Program. Click join and then fill out the “registration” form. When you join, it’s not a formal commitment to the program, but it does give you access to submit service hours for the program and to the helpful resources on our page. The registration form, which takes less than three minutes to fill out, is how we collect details about you, such as your major, proposed graduation date, and estimated number of service hours you have completed to record in our roster. We use that information to track your progress in the program, so it is mandatory to submit this form to get started.
What happens when you join:
Next, one of our staff members will have an orientation meeting with you to get to know you beyond the form and talk about exploring your service passions through your major. We will discuss concrete plans to meet the program requirements by working them into your schedule. CCELL is here to help at each step so that you never feel bogged down as you balance the program’s requirements with your school schedule
Once you have completed the orientation, you will receive emails from the coordinator and other CCELL staff with updates, important program deadlines, service opportunities, and check-ins to make sure you are on track to complete the program by your graduation date. We will also host a workshop for students every semester so that we can answer your questions and prepare you for the next steps at any given time.
