Research

We are currently investigating novel measurements of diastolic function in cats with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

We are currently investigating novel biomarkers of heart disease in dogs with and without mitral valve endocardiosis.

Novel measurements of right ventricular systolic function are being examined in dogs with dilated cardiolmyopathy, heartworm disease and tricuspid valve endocardiosis.

On March 10, 2013, Dr. Jorge Vila, Cardiology Resident, presented a research poster entitled "Structural and molecular pathology of the atrium in a canine model of arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy" at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Conference in San Francisco. The ACC conference is one of the largest human cardiology meeting in the United States.
