Job Description: Associate Veterinarian needed for a completely small animal practice on the Westbank of New Orleans. Full time.

My new associate is having to unexpectedly relocate to Texas for family. I am looking for a veterinarian who is interested in pediatric and feral cat surgeries as I participate in the Jefferson Parish Fix-A-Feline program and never know what will arrive on a given day. We are appointment-based for surgeries, but there is a wide variety of big toms and youngsters. It all depends on who is hungry the evening before. Surgeries are two pounds and up for ferals. I would like someone who is not afraid of pets (you would be surprised who becomes a vet and is leery of Great Danes or any animal who looks them straight in the eye). The ability to do 8-10 surgeries in the morning and see appointments every twenty minutes is desired. Note: you will not be performing surgeries and seeing appointments in the same morning/time frame. No emergency call. Alternating Saturday mornings and availability to treat hospitalized animals on those same weekends. Call or email for more information.
