Job Description: A Day in The Life of an Associate Veterinarian As an Associate Veterinarian, it’s less about the job description, and more about the opportunity to contribute your unique skills and expertise to your team while developing your veterinary career. Consider some of our unique features:

Mentorship: We have a 12-week mentorship program when you first start. Think of it is an internship for those not specializing, except you earn full wages. It involves hands-on training and onboarding with a dedicated coach doctor, weekly check-ins from our Learning and Development team, as well as access to an entire community of support. We also provide discounts on VIN and local VMA memberships.

Competitive Salary: We always pay within the 75th percentile of any market so even as a new graduate, your salary would be above average. Additionally, our benefits cover a wide array of discounts and perks. We understand that student loans can be challenging so we do our best to help new graduates tackle them. Additional benefits include liability and malpractice insurance, CE assistance, license renewals, and more. Right now, we are in the process of implementing a new benefit focused solely on student debt repayment.

Work/Life Balance: We are a fully equipped general practice so we do not have overnight or on-call hours. Our benefits package offers a generous amount of paid time off, 4 paid days off for Continued Education, and flex scheduling.

Career Development: Some DVMs prefer to practice while others transition into leadership, research, or nutritional roles. Thanks to our large network, we offer several career pathways - Chief of Staff or Medical Director roles, positions within our BARK research team or our Quality team. Our partnership with Royal Canine allows for roles in nutrition. We are also developing new partnerships with VCA and Blue Pearl, which will allow general practitioners to transition towards specialty careers.

Job Description: Want to practice high-quality medicine with small-town compassion?

Trumann Animal Clinic in Trumann, Arkansas has that to offer, and much more.

Trumann is 10 minutes from Jonesboro, population 60,000, and 60 minutes from Memphis, population 600,000. The hospital has many amenities, including fully trained, competent staff, digital x-ray, complete IDEXX blood machines with full IDEXX support, EKG, blood pressure monitor, human grade dental unit, acupuncture, cold laser, good working relationships with area clinics, regular continuing education meetings for all staff, active social media presence, mobile house-call service, board-certified radiologist on staff, digital and paper records, and a professional but relaxed atmosphere.

The Trumann area has many excellent school districts, 2 large hospitals in Jonesboro, low traffic congestion, easy commute, low crime rates, low cost of living, many options for home ownership, from urban to rural, and opportunities for outdoor activities are abundant, including duck hunting, and fishing.

This successful practice was established over 30 years ago, but, speaking as a long-time relief veterinarian, it is one of the best practices I have ever worked, and one of the most current.

The other huge opportunity here is that this practice is about to start construction of a new building, due to right-of way issues with the new highway construction. The new associate will have some influence in the construction, and also have buy-in opportunity.
