The interdisciplinary and interdepartmental nature of the EHSP is a strength of the graduate program. Many faculty throughout the EHSP, the School of Veterinary Medicine, and LSU participate in EHSP related research and mentor graduate students. Students in the EHSP can obtain Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Veterinary Medical Sciences through the school's academic departments: Comparative Biomedical Sciences, Pathobiological Sciences, and Veterinary Clinical Sciences.
In coordination with the home department, all graduate students will be enrolled through and will follow the guidelines of the LSU Graduate School. For more information on the particular department and general LSU graduate studies guidelines, please select the links provided on this page.
The first step is to learn about the current EHSP research being conducted to determine the group that fits with your areas of interest. This is best accomplished by gathering information from this website and visiting the individual department websites to learn about graduate faculty research interests. After you have selected a department, read the requirements to find out if you are qualified to apply for graduate study within that department. Additionally, the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine's website regarding Advanced Studies is an excellent resource for information regarding admission requirements and procedures.
