WHO WE ARE

The Office of Veterinary Education and Student Affairs at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) would like to welcome you to our admissions web site. We encourage you to read through the wealth of information that we have made available to you. You should also visit the website of the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC). Take this opportunity to learn as much as you can about our DVM program, faculty, staff, and students.

Our admissions web site contains all the information you'll need concerning the application and admissions procedures for the 2018-2019 application cycle (for starting in Fall 2019), including course prerequisites, residency classifications, class statistics, FAQs, dates & deadlines, and a step-by-step guide to the application process.

Please read through all of the available information. If you are applying during the 2018-2019 application cycle, it is vitally important that you frequently visit the site, especially the Online Status Check System. This system will be available to you once you have submitted your VMCAS application and your application data has been processed by the LSU SVM.

Feel free to also contact us if you have any questions regarding the application process. Once again, welcome to the admissions web site and thank you for your interest in the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.
