 It’s been a long and tiring season, but the end has finally been reached. Dreams are inches from the outstretched fingers of our hardworking basketball and soccer teams vying for the fortune and fame of taking that final game in a whirlwind of athleticism, skill and wit and coming home as champions.
Starting this Tuesday, the basketball teams that pushed the hardest, jumped the highest and sweated the most will go head to head for during an eight-day playoff blowout. These passion-filled contests of skill will be held the LSU UREC SRC outdoor basketball courts and the U-High Gym courts. Games will be held on March 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. Wednesday begins the tourney of the most world-renowned sport on this Earth—futbol. Players will take to the fields, itching for that warm yell of “GOAL!,” while keepers will stand as walls, fighting for silence. The matches will be held at the LSU UREC SAC fields on March 4, 8, 9, 11 and 14.
So come on out and give these players their due. Cheer at the top of your lungs and watch the best go head to head in the final stretch of a long season.
