 As the weather takes a turn for the warmer, two intramural sports begin to take advantage of the newfound warmth. Registration for both softball and sand volleyball takes place Wednesday, February 18 through Friday, February 20.
To join, download the registration form located on the leagues and tournaments page, fill it out, and bring it to the UREC SRC Guest Services desk. As with other intramural sports, make sure you come with a completely filled-out roster, signed by each player on the team. And, as in the past, it is a first-come first-serve setup to choose game days. So the more quickly you sign up, the better chance you have of securing the game spot you want.
There is no better way to spend the spring than out on a softball diamond or on the sand volleyball courts at LSU UREC with the warm sun beaming down. The crack of the bat and the pitter-patter of feet in sand just welcome the warm weather even more.
And don’t forget, you don’t need a team to play. Anyone is more than welcome to sign up as a free agent. If enough people sign up as free agents, a team of free agents will form. Otherwise, you will be placed on a team according to availability.
So come sign up before it’s too late, and take advantage of this wonderful weather. Spring is finally bringing to us!
