This weekend, two three-person basketball teams comprised of LSU students will travel to Tampa, Fl. to watch the SEC Tournament and compete in the Quaker State 3-on-3 Challenge. The men's team named Monstars and the women's team named The System will represent LSU as they take on student teams from schools across the Southeastern Conference.

LSU UREC to host the
Quaker State 3-on-3 Hoop Challenge.

LSU UREC and Quaker State are offering the chance for the best 3-player basketball team at the University to head to the 2009 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament.

LSU UREC is proud to hold the 2009 Quaker State 3-on-3 Challenge, a basketball tournament held on the outdoor courts between teams of three competing for the ultimate prize: tickets to the SEC Tournament semifinal and championship games in Tampa, Fla. as well as hotel and travel stipends. In addition to watching the SEC Tournament games, the winners will compete against other three-player teams from across the country at the SEC Tournament for the title of Quaker State 3-on-3 Challenge SEC Champion.

The Quaker State 3-on-3 Challenge will be held in the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 17 and includes both a men’s and women’s division. Each team will boast a four person roster with three players on the court at any given time. Registration is $10 per team and will be through this Friday (Feb. 13).

If you are interested in playing and trying to win one of the coolest prizes possible, download the registration form and bring it with a full roster to the Guest Services desk at LSU UREC’s Student Recreation Center. Remember, all team members must sign the roster before registration. The first 25 teams to register will receive Quaker State t-shirts.

This is a wonderful chance to represent LSU at one of the most exciting sporting events of the year, so don’t miss your chance to register and take to the courts in pursuit of this awesome prize.
