About UREC GroupX classes

UREC GroupX are exercise classes taught in a group setting allowing participants to motivate each other while working with a trained instructor.  UREC GroupX is available to UREC members at no additional cost.

How do I reserve a spot in a GroupX class?
UREC Online GroupX Reservation enables participants to reserve a spot for any UREC GroupX class through an easy-to-use online system.  Students and UREC members are able to view in real-time when a limited # of spots are available in each class, if a class is full, and if a wait-list is provided.  Click the “Make a class reservation” link to reserve a spot in one of today’s fitness classes.

What if the class I prefer is full?
Each class has a maximum class registration with wait-list spots available.

All registration closes either 30 minutes prior to class start-time or 4 p.m., whichever comes first. Registered participants must arrive to class 10 minutes in advance of the class to guarantee their spot in the class.

If you are placed on the waitlist when attempting to register, you must come to the class ten minutes prior to its start time to see if any available spots have opened. A non-registered participant may show up for a class ten minutes prior but is not guaranteed a spot. Wait list participants will not be allowed into a class until 9 minutes prior to the start of a class.

Nobody will be allowed to enter a class after it has begun. This is for your safety and the safety of other participants.


Minimum class participation
If a UREC GroupX class has not met minimum participation, the class time will be reduced to 30 minutes or will be canceled for that day. If a specific class has three or fewer participants for three consecutive weeks, the class will be canceled for the remainder of the semester.

Class Intensity

Select a class that best compliments your fitness level.  Reference the key below for a short description of each level.

All Fitness Levels

This class is appropriate for all levels of fitness with no prior group fitness class experience needed.

Intermediate
This class is designed for those who have prior experience to the class style.

UREC reserves the right to cancel or modify courses.
