UREC Student Employee Training & Development University Recreation places great emphasis on investing in our student employees, a goal that is achieved through a comprehensive Training and Development Program. The mission of our program is to provide a solid foundation for learning and service provision so that our student employees may reach and surpass career and life goals. UREC Supervisor Training and Educational Program (USTEP) USTEP is designed to provide a detailed knowledge of LSU University Recreation to include developing the skills needed to be an effective UREC Supervisor.  Parts of the course are instructor lead, where other parts are web-based.  Participants will learn skills that will be valuable to them while a student employee of University Recreation, in addition to life-long leadership skills that can be used in their future career. UREC Employee Advisory Board (UREC EAB) The UREC EAB consists of a group of UREC student employees working together to help ensure employee satisfaction within the student staff.  By serving on the board, student employees develop leadership and team building skills as well as professional development. The UREC EAB serves as the liaison between student employees and the professional staff.
