Program Information
At the UREC Challenge Program we custom design all programs to address the specific goals and objectives of your group.  Program options and fees will be determined based upon the number of participants and length of program.  Programs are available for Louisiana State University groups, as well as the general public including corporate and school groups.

Challenge by Choice
Our facilitators incorporate the “Challenge by Choice” philosophy in which participants are encouraged to try new things and push the boundaries of their comfort zone, though all group members choose their own level of involvement.  With this in mind, the challenge program activities are adaptable to all levels of physical ability.  There are a variety of roles to fulfill within any activity, from observing to strategizing to getting involved in the action.  The key to success is not a measure of individual strength, but the measure of the group’s cohesiveness.

Safety & the Facilitator
One of the highest priorities of the Challenge Program is safety.  The physical and emotional safety of each participant is an essential goal of every program.  Our staff members are trained in the art of designing and presenting experiential learning activities making everyone’s challenge program experience safe, effective, and enjoyable.

UREC Challenge Program

The UREC Challenge Program is an effective tool in helping organizations and groups develop stronger leaders and teams.  As focus is placed on achieving important organizational, group, and individual goals, the facilitated process combines action and reflection to open the door to discovery and understanding.  Team members discover how individual contributions are vital to the success of the team.

Participants will gain experience in leadership, team-building, and problem solving, while fostering communication, creativity, cooperation, camaraderie, self-awareness and self-esteem, among others. Participants will leave the program with skills they can apply to all aspects of their life.
