OLLI at LSU Announces Summer Course Schedule
BATON ROUGE – The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, or OLLI, at LSU announces the release of its new summer course schedule. Courses begin the week of July 7th. Registration is already open for current members.
More than 80 courses feature a broad range of topics, including “Sports Conversations” with Charles Barbre, “Local Public Officials” with Linda Lightfoot, “Veterinary and Related Experiences” with the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and “The Roaring Twenties” with James Hardy and Ann Martin.
“OLLI at LSU relies on our dedicated volunteer leadership to plan all of our courses, and this summer they have pulled together an engaging and fun summer of courses,” said Program Director Kori Chisham. “Summer courses range from art and language to history and civic affairs.”
OLLI at LSU is a membership-based learning community of adults age 50 and older. There are no exams or grades at OLLI. Its comprehensive collection of courses provides opportunities for members to investigate interesting topics in a relaxed but stimulating educational and social environment.
OLLI at LSU has more than 1,000 members and consists of five chapters: Lagniappe Chapter in Baton Rouge, Cajun Prairie Chapter in Eunice, Felicianas Chapter in St. Francisville and New Roads and Ascension Chapter in Gonzalez.

OLLI at LSU is one of 117 Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes located on university and college campuses from Maine to Hawaii.
