BATON ROUGE – A seminar and luncheon designed for military veterans considering entrepreneurship as a career path will be held Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans.

The event, “Is Entrepreneurship For You?” was organized by the LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute, the WWII Museum and Humana and highlights the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities, both at the national level and the program held at LSU, in addition to presentations by several guest entrepreneurs.

“Humana’s national commitment to America’s veterans and their families is not new,” said Humana Government Business Group President Tim McClain. “Humana has worked with the U.S. Department of Defense as a TRICARE health benefits provider since 1996, and with the Veterans Administration as an operator of Community-Based Outpatient Clinics, over the past several years.”

The luncheon keynote speaker is Donald Cravins Jr., chief of staff for Sen. Mary Landrieu. Cravins joined Landrieu’s staff in 2009, as staff director and chief counsel of the United States Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Cravins also served in the House of Representatives, the Senate and as a Judge Advocate with the Louisiana National Guard.
