LSU PAI Alumnae Genny May Named 2013 Women of Distinction Honoree
BATON ROUGE – Girl Scouts Louisiana East has named Genevieve “Genny” May as one of its Women of Distinction for 2013. May, a graduate of the LSU Master of Public Administration program, is a member of the LSU Public Administration Institute’s Advisory Board and was the 2010 MPA Alum of the Year.
According to PAI Director James Richardson, the Girl Scouts’ recognition of May is just another example of her dedication to improving the community.
“We could not be prouder of Genny,” Richardson said. “She is a consummate professional, and her civic contributions have always enhanced her reputation. She is the ideal our program strives to help produce for Louisiana.”
May and her fellow nominees will be recognized at an awards dinner in their honor that is to be held Sept. 27 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center.
