This year, the public is invited to join the School of Music immediately after the closing of the June 21 concert for the inaugural post-concert “After Glow,” a party celebrating jazz at LSU. Underwritten by the North Gate Merchants Association, the evening includes live music, champagne and cuisine provided by various restaurants and eateries in the area. Guests can walk the lighted path from the LSU School of Music Recital Hall to Chimes Street to enjoy this first-time event, which serves as a fundraiser for the School of Music’s jazz program. Tickets for the event only are just $20, and can be purchased by contacting Mary Bayle, associate director of development for the LSU College of Music & Dramatic Arts, at 225-578-8594 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
